Privacy Policy

RapidScan is developed and provided by Bitwise Masters LTD. Bitwise Masters LTD is responsible for the app and for this privacy policy.

RapidScan is designed to scan documents on an iPad without collecting personal data through the app.

Bitwise Masters LTD does not collect data through RapidScan.

RapidScan has no user accounts and includes no analytics, advertising, user tracking or third-party software development kits (SDKs).

Photographs, documents, processed images, recognised OCR text and generated PDFs remain on your device or in the folder and file provider you choose through Apple’s system file picker.

RapidScan does not upload documents, page images, OCR text or PDFs to Bitwise Masters servers or to external services.

RapidScan uses the iPad camera only when you ask the app to capture a document.

Camera images are used to create the pages in your scan. They are not sent to Bitwise Masters LTD.

Document detection, perspective correction, optical character recognition (OCR) and PDF compression are performed locally on your iPad using Apple frameworks.

When you rotate a page, RapidScan may repeat OCR locally so that the searchable text layer matches the new page orientation.

RapidScan may temporarily retain captures and unfinished or pending scan jobs in local app storage. This allows the app to recover work or retry processing after an interruption.

You can delete these temporary captures and pending jobs from within RapidScan.

RapidScan retains access to your chosen folder using the secure access mechanisms provided by Apple.

If you choose iCloud Drive or another provider available through the Files app, that provider handles the files you save there under its own privacy policy and terms. Bitwise Masters LTD does not control how a provider you select operates its storage service.

RapidScan is not directed specifically at children.

The app does not collect personal data from users, including children.

This policy describes the RapidScan iPad app. RapidScan itself does not use website cookies and does not send app activity to this website.

Visiting the Bitwise Masters website, including using its contact form, is separate from using RapidScan. Information you choose to submit through the website and any website cookies are governed by the website’s own notices and operation, not by the RapidScan app.

We may update this policy if RapidScan or applicable requirements change. The effective date shown on this page will be revised when an update takes effect.
