Time rules

Pebble Time 2 watchface
A word clock for Pebble Time 2.
It shows the time as a short phrase on a colour letter grid, rather than as a conventional digital clock.
What it does
Word Time highlights the words that describe the current time. At 10:25, for example, the grid reads “it is twenty five past ten”.
It is designed for Pebble Time 2, where a small colour screen makes spacing, contrast and legibility especially important.
How it works
Word Time reads the current time and updates on the minute. There is no menu, account or companion service: install it, choose it as your watchface and use it.
Built for the watch
Built in Alloy JavaScript, with the time rules, colour choices and screen layout kept separate so the behaviour is straightforward to check and maintain.
The watchface chooses the right words for the current time and refreshes when the minute changes.
Colour separates the opening words, minutes and hour, while the inactive letters stay in the background.
The ten-row English letter grid was laid out for the Pebble Time 2’s 200 by 228 pixel colour display.
